This class is for beginners and intermediate students who wish to take their practice to the next level. Vinyasa Flow level 1-2 classes include the basics of a flow class with a dynamic practice that focuses on combining movement with breath control and an overall energizing and invigorating yogic experience.

 

 

Tuesday

11:30 am, Camp Foster Gym

Vinyasa Level 2

This is a class for students who are familiar with postures and are looking do deepen their practice while building strength, balance and flexibility. This class will meet you where you are, meaning, modifications are demonstrated as well as ways to deepen the posture. There is room for play and you are encouraged to make this practice your own.

 

Wednesday

6 - 7:15 pm, Camp Foster Gym

Vinyasa Level 2-3

This class invites you to work to your edge as we move through vigorous flows. We explore the depths of our strength, find trust and stability in balance and release with flexibility. Although this class is geared toward the experienced practitioner, modifications are demonstrated and welcomed. Come and explore your edge with me.

Thursday

6:30-8 pm, The Yoga Tree Okinawa

Flow Nidra

This 90-minute class begins with a 60-minute vinyasa flow where we'll move through fun but challenging sequences with plenty of space for you to explore the deeper aspects of your personal practice. Although this class will not incorporate advanced inversions or arm balances, we will occasionally explore some beginner to intermediate inversion play. You are encouraged to make this practice your own. Modifications are always demonstrated and welcomed. During the final 30 minutes of this class, I will lead you through a yoga nidra meditation. During this time, students will be invited to recline into a comfortable position with their eyes closed. I will then direct your awareness throughout your body, breath, senses and emotions. Yoga nidra is the practice of psychic sleep. It’s not an asana (postures), but a conscious state that flirts on the border of sleep. Deep transformation can happen in yoga nidra because you can set a resolve that permeates into the subconscious through the practice, bringing powerful potential for healing and self-growth.

This class is hosted at The Yoga Tree Okinawa studio. Classes hosted here have a maximum number of 16 students. This small class size and studio setting allows you to explore deeper parts of your practice and allows me as the instructor to deliver a more personalized approach to each student, offering hands-on adjustments when appropriate and for those who are comfortable. As this is a studio space, you can expect to dive deeper into the yoga practice moving beyond just asana (postures), exploring pranayama (breath control) and meditation as well.

Saturday

10 am, The Yoga Tree Okinawa

This vinyasa class invites you to work at your own pace. A great way to start of your morning, we'll move through fun and inspiring flows that allow you to modify or intensify to your level and goals. Play with strength, flexibility, balance.

This class is hosted at The Yoga Tree Okinawa studio. Classes hosted here have a maximum number of 16 students. This small class size and studio setting allows you to explore deeper parts of your practice and allows me as the instructor to deliver a more personalized approach to each student, offering hands-on adjustments when appropriate and for those who are comfortable. As this is a studio space, you can expect to dive deeper into the yoga practice moving beyond just asana (postures), exploring pranayama (breath control) and meditation as well.
